The Blessing of Covenant Relationships [PDF]The Blessing of Covenant Relationships As the year 2005 draws to a close, I wanted to say THANK YOU for giving in prayer, finances, and, words of encouragement. I am truly blessed by your faithfulness and partnership to the ministry of Master’s Touch. In the recent mission to Hungary, pastors of the churches the team ministered to wanted to relay their gratitude for all you gave to sow into their lives and the life of their churches. Thank you friends and family, and thank you GOD for all that was accomplished! Here is an excerpt from a recent newsletter by Paul Henderson, pastor of the Church of Christ in Budapest regarding the team’s time of ministry in Budapest, he wrote, “Last update I shared about our church retreat with the team from Indiana. The rest of the month with them was a blessing, too. We had several times of personal and corporate ministry with them, as well as, men and women’s meetings, and an AGLOW meeting. It was refreshing. Praise God for ministering servants! In looking back over the time the team was here and especially after they left, Kati and I feel the church is at a new place spiritually, not only will the potential for growth increase, but the resistance we experience will also be greater.” He also shared that He and his wife, Kati felt this is something that needs intercession from out side their church body. Over the last three years the team has seen a progression of what the Lord is doing in these churches. We saw congregations learning how to be churches in the first year. Then, there was a progression from congregations to communities of believers. This past year, the communities of believers from these churches are learning about covenant relationship with the Lord and with one other. There is covenant to change and have accountability with God and with one other. There is a commitment for change, and with change comes a noticeable battle for what God desires to establish in their lives personally, as well as corporately. Ministry time was spent with leadership teams from three
churches: a Baptist, Pentecostal, and a Church of Christ. These are diverse
churches with people that impact their region, nation, and other nations.
The team taught on the topic of the gospel of the Kingdom of God and gave
practical applications for everyday kingdom life. Our team served leaders from these churches over the past few years. God continues to strengthen our relationship with one another and their trust level has grown. They have expressed their desire for deeper relationships and for relational accountability. It is an honor to come alongside what God is doing in their lives and the life of their churches. Since returning to the States, communication remains on going with them by way of web camera and the Internet. We are able to meet regularly and both share what God is doing and pray for each other. What a blessing to be able to walk together and share with one another as God continues to establish His kingdom in their lives and the life of their churches. Thank God for the blessing of covenant relationships with God and each other!
